Little Red Chapel Wedding by Zach Mathers Photography

Remember when I said that I found some awesome new Spokane area wedding vendors at the Bridal Festival?! Well Zach Mathers Photography is totally one of them and I could hardly wait to tell you about him! Ok so a quick glance through these photos and it’s pretty obvious that Zach is an extremely talented photographer, but the thing I really love is that his photography is modern and trendy but still has a Northwest flavor. Something that’s sort of rare. As cool as these photos are you can still tell they are local, and I appreciate that.

This is the adorable wedding of Jessica and Shawn at the little Red Chapel in Northern Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, which I also couldn’t wait to show because it is so darn cool and I’ve never seen it before. I tried finding more information about it online but couldn’t find anything, does anyone know anything about it?

The chapel is known as the Ft Sherman Chapel and there is actually quite a lot of info on the web about it. Here is just one site I found by googling it: http://www.museumni.org/chapel.html

I love the chapel and it was one of the first landmarks in CDA that was shown to me when I was considering moving to this area from Florida 2-1/2 years ago. There is a Christmas shop on Sherman Avenue in CDA that has beautiful Christmas ornaments replicating the chapel.

Hello, I’m the groom in these photos. The Fort Ground Chapel is owned and operated through the Coeur d’Alene Museum. It was so much fun having our wedding here. The museum was super easy to work with and extremely affordable, only $200! Jess and I wanted to have a really small, intimate ceremony with close family and friends and this chapel was perfect! We kept it really simple and wanted the ceremony to be fun, enjoyable, unforgettable and most importantly spiritual. Props to Zach Mathers for his outstanding photos. There was so much scenery and beautiful landscape with the lake being only a short walk away. Zach really captured the beauty of the day in these pictures. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing photographer for their wedding.

I am looking for a venue in or around cda and i have always loved the red church but where did you guys have your reception at? These pictures are amazing! congratulations to you both!

Thanks so much for your comments Shawn ! Your description of the what you and your beautiful bride were looking for sounds very similar to what the two of us are wanting as well. Add to that my love for the chapel and well, you (and Applebrides.com) have helped us to be making a very important decision this weekend. I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow !
