Featuring local bridal showers is something I’ve been meaning to do for long time, so when my sister decided to throw one for one of her best friends Erica, I jumped right on board. The shower was held at the Luna Restaurant on the South Hill, which was the ideal setting for our Provence/French country themed shower. At the risk of playing favorites, I have to say that Luna tops my list for being the most beautiful and well designed restaurants in Spokane. For those of you who haven’t had the chance to visit, you should…asap! The French inspired decor never crosses the line to hokey or corny, it’s all perfectly elegant…in true French fashion.
And it gets even better. Luna has an event room! For the small wedding, rehearsal dinner or shower, Luna offers an idyllic setting. The event space, with the courtyard, can hold up to 100 guests and for an indoor reception it can hold 75. And it’s very reasonably priced too! My sister rented half the room (which can hold up to 25-30 guests) with no rental fee, she just had to spend a minimum of $300 on food and drinks.
The flowers for the shower were provided by Erica’s Expressions, who perfectly understood our French vision. We also bought bunches of lavender from Fleur de Provence Lavender Farm on Green Bluff to complete the look. And of course we needed a photographer to come and capture all our hard work, so I called in Stephen from Simple Sweet Wedding Photography. Stephen has been a photographer for a long time, and has recently branched into weddings. His work is wonderful, and we were delighted with the results!
And lastly, a big thank you goes out to bride Erica who has been a loyal supporter of Apple Brides throughout her engagement. She married her fiance Tyler last weekend in a beautiful wedding at Barrister Winery, we wish you all the very best!
