Today’s wedding is special to me for a couple reasons. Firstly, it’s just plain adorable and FULL to the brim with interesting details, secondly, there are Highland dancers involved and thirdly, the bride Talia was an Apple Bride reader! She found many of her vendors through the site and was a loyal reader, which makes me feel all sentimental, etc, etc….
Talia and her groom, Aaron planned a backyard wedding in Deer Park with a vintage chic theme. The couple worked endlessly to add personal DIY details and called in Jess and Matt Carroll of Free to Live Photography to capture their big day.
Here is a little from Talia…
“I made everything from my save the dates, programs, props for our photo booth, chair covers and table runners. The majority of the vintage decorations were items we had handed down through the family or picked up at antique stores. For example, the quilt used at the photobooth back drop was made by my Great-Grandmother (maybe great-great grandmother) and the trunk for our gifts was passed down from a family member (I think great-aunt). One farm window came from our ranch in Montana and the others were picked up from an antique store. It was Apple Brides that help me plan my wedding in 5 months AND long distance to boot! I don’t know if I could have planned it in that short amount of time if that site wasn’t around.”
