Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am terribly sorry for the late post, we have been having some technical difficulties this morning! Anywho, I promise Dan and Haley’s Bigelow Arbors wedding by Jess and Matt of Free to Live Photography was worth the wait. This wedding is special for a couple reasons. It’s special because Haley was a loyal reader of Apple Brides and she submitted her wedding (my fav thing ever!), but it’s also special for another reason…this is about the third bride who had Free to Live Photography as their photographer who, of their own accord, loved their wedding photos so much they wanted to submit it to me to show them off for the world to see. In other words, Jess and Matt are doing something right…really right!
Haley’s sweet e-mail to me:
“I absolutely loved your site and found it so helpful for planning my wedding in Spokane this last summer! We used many of your photos as ideas in our wedding and it was so nice to get information about those vendors who were close to us. Your site is very personable and inspired me when deciding the kind of wedding I wanted to have.
We had always dreamed of having a beautiful, rustic, outdoor wedding. Dan my husband and I dated for 6 years before getting married and we always knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding in Spokane where we had both grown up and only left to attend college and returned when we graduated. We also wanted it to reflect our personalities in the ceremony and reception, and no better way to do that then make many of the components yourself. We used mason jars as our center pieces that we had found in my husbands granmother’s basement. . We made homemade invitations based on ones we had seen on the site, our cake stand was made using cardboard, paper, and ribbon. We also made our fan programs and sweet treat bar also inspired from pictures we had seen. As for our wedding favors we used terra cotta pots that had flowers in them. During our ceremony we did a “unity tree.” We scooped soil into the tree pot and are going to plant it at my husband’s families Hayden lake property. We wanted to do something that was unique and that we could watch grow over the years. We also cut logs as part of our center pieces from the property! It was so fun and exciting to have the special touches that people noticed and that we loved because we put the time into creating them. The day turned out to be unbelievable and we owe it to sites like yours and all the people we have met along the way.
Each vendor my husband and I decided to use for the wedding, we felt that they really cared about us, our visions and the overall feeling of the day. We feel that so many of the people we went with we will refer to others because of how special they made our day and how loved they made us feel. We could not have imagined our wedding day to be as amazing as it was and a huge reason to why it was so perfect was all the people who were involved.”
Seriously?! It’s brides like Haley that make me LOVE my job so much! Thanks for the submission Haley!
