I am so happy to be adding a brand new photographer to our Apple Bride Featured Photographer list. Her name is Jessica Gomez of Jess Express Photography, and she is simply wonderful. How long have you been in photography?

My love for photography started in high school almost ten years ago. Since then I’ve been behind the camera capturing what I see and envision.

Why did you decide to go into wedding photography?

Love is present at weddings and there is just something special about being able to capture that special day. I like how no two weddings are the same and to me that is exciting and challenging. Weddings allow me to observe, capture, document, and push my creative limits on that day, with that couple, at that location, and with those details. I believe this keeps each wedding unique and its always fun to get to meet and work with many different couples.

How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as natural, happy, and contemporary with a little photojournalism mixed in.

What is your advice for brides and grooms looking for a wedding photographer?

Choose a photographer who you can get along with and can communicate openly with about the wedding details. Its important to develop and build some trust with the couple so they feel at ease being in front of the camera. Review the work they have done and look for a photographer who shares a similar vision as to what you have in mind and has the skills to bring it to life.

What makes your photography unique?

My approach, style, and spontaneity make a session fun and enjoyable. My artistic eye, composition and vision factored in make for a unique experience and a quality end result.

What is your favorite part of a wedding?

My favorite part of the wedding is when the bride and groom face the audience for the first time as husband and wife. Their smiles are always so big and genuine. Happiness abounds.

What is included in your packages?

My packages include a dvd with images of the day and my middle package includes an engagement session and custom guest book. My biggest package also includes a wedding album. I have different a la carte items that can added as well to create a customized package to meet your needs.
