If you’re an avid wedding blog reader, you’ve probably come across Keri Doolittle before. Keri has been featured on some of the top wedding blogs in the world, including Style Me Pretty and The Wedding Chicks, (and now Apple Brides
) ! Her work is gorgeous, and even though she lives in Denver, she is a Spokane native and will travel up here for free! For FREE! We are so incredibly lucky to have this level of talent available to us!
Here is an interview with Keri…
Where are you based?
Denver, CO (however, travel to Spokane is free)!

How long have you been in photography?
5 years
Why did you decide to go into wedding photography?
When I first started my photography career, I was a second shooter for several local photographers and I just fell in love with shooting weddings. A wedding day is so happy, festive, emotional and beautiful…I wanted to capture every detail that goes into creating a couple’s special day!
How would you describe your style?
Creative, fun, vibrant and unique. I have an excellent blend of both traditional photography with a candid, journalistic style. This allows me to capture an image in variety of different perspectives.
What is your advice for brides and grooms looking for a wedding photographer?
Make sure you click!!! The relationship you have with your photographer will be about a year long (from the engagement session to the wedding day to album designing), so make sure your have similar personalities and enjoy their work. Second, I would say to trust your photographer. They know what will look good and what time of day will be best for your portraits. Most of all, relax and have fun!!

What makes your photography unique?
My approach to photography is to be yourself. I want my clients to be relaxed and enjoy their sessions. I don’t want anything to feel forced. If that means I have to break out my arsenal of jokes, so be it! My images are processed very crisp and clean, which will never go out of style. I truly strive to give my clients the best wedding photography experience around and hope they enjoy each and every mute of their big day!

What is your favorite part of a wedding?
The first look, hands down. Although, I do love photographing the details that make each wedding unique. But, the first look has to be the winner. The moment a groom sets his eyes on his wife-to-be is such an amazing emotion to witness, it makes photographing the entire day so much fun!
What is included in your packages?
All of my packages include an engagement session, 8 or more hours of wedding day coverage, a second-shooter on your wedding day and the disk of edited images, along with a print-release form. Although I live in Denver, I am from Spokane, WA. I went to Mead High School and graduated from WSU (Go Cougs!). I do NOT have any travel fees when photographing a wedding up in Spokane/CDA.
Anything else you would like brides to know?
Research your photographers, they are a very important part of your wedding. Make sure to see an entire wedding! Photographers put up “the best of the best” on their websites, which might not be an accurate representation of how they shoot an entire wedding. Make sure to hire someone who communicates well and who you enjoy being around. Most of all, have fun planning your wedding and CONGRATS!!
