Aww…March in Spokane…cold, rainy/snowy and brown….it’s hard to see the beauty this time of year. But fear not, we are bringing some March prettiness right to your door! Enter, our Beacon Hill inspiration shoot by Amber Glanville Photography! We pulled together a group of amazing Spokane/Coeur d’ Alene vendors to show you just how beautiful a wedding in winter can be…snow or no snow.
We knew wherever the shoot was held would have to be a year round venue with amazing views, and everyone knows Beacon Hill Catering & Events fits that bill perfectly. Even though the landscape was brown and barren, the breathtaking scenery at Beacon Hill is so gorgeous, no one even cared….or noticed! The other great thing about Beacon is the interior space with it’s rich neutral palette, it offers the ideal canvas for any wedding in any season.
We called in Erica’s Expressions to design the flowers. This lady never disappoints! Not only are her designs stylish, she’s also a pro at keeping things in budget (the centerpieces displays only cost around $38!).
Even though I’ve been a huge fan of Amber Glanville‘s work for years, I had never actually worked with her before. So we asked her to be a part of the shoot. Best decision ever! Amber’s photographs are beyond beautiful, but what’s even better is her kind personality. She has a way of making everyone around her feel comfortable and at ease, which is SO important in a photographer, especially a wedding photographer! She is one of my new favorite people!
And now, I’d like to offer you some free wedding advice that might change your life…. you should really hire a wedding planner. It makes all the difference girls, truly it does. I sat down with Lauren and Beth from Design by Occasion and spewed out a trillion and one ideas for the shoot, with no focus AT ALL. And Lauren and Beth were able to take my ramblings and streamline them into gold and ivory perfection. No matter what your budget or situation, A WEDDING PLANNER IS WORTH IT!
Pretty sure we should all have gold chivari chairs at our weddings. They are just too gorgeous! Event Rents provided the chairs, linens and flatware.
The stationery was provided by Lindsey from Papermade Invites, as always, Lindsey goes far and beyond the call of duty to create pieces she knows her clients will love. She made menus, place cards, invites and even put together a place card display! The type writer and gold frame was from The Attic.
One of the best parts about a Beacon Hill wedding is the food. Obviously….
Last but certainly not least, our bridal look was completed by Shasta Hankins Freelance Makeup and hair by Mateo Balmes (my hair dresser!), the dresses were from Storybook Bridal and accessories were from Stella’s Design.
Find out how we brought it all together in this gorgeous behind-the-scenes video by Rogue Heart…
