Sawyer House Wedding by O’Malley Photographers

We’ve got some pretty wedding goodness coming to us today from the Yakima area. This is Brianna and Christian’s wedding by O’Malley Photographers at the Sawyer House. This couple wanted to make sure their wedding not only represented them as a couple, but also their two families. Christian’s family farms mint, so the theme of the wedding day was “mint to be” (awww!) and Brianna’s godfather was the officiant.

Here is what Brianna had to say about her wedding:

“We truly wanted our wedding represent us. It was a large event with around 300 people but we are still wanted to make it intimate. During the ceremony we had both a sand ceremony and signing the wedding license in front of everyone. Our officiant was the bride’s godfather. We had the guests pick a seat, not a side, representing our two families becoming one. Following the ceremony was a cocktail hour with appetizers including crap lollipops to represent both of our family cabins and mojitos to represent Christian’s family business of farming mint. Our invitations had an image of dill to represent his farm also. For dinner we had shish-kabobs, my favorite since I was little. Our DJ read our love story before our first dance and we took dance lessons to make our first dance more fun. Our decor was black tablecloths with white napkins, with all different shapes and sizes of clear vases filled with roses, peonies, carnations and babies breath….all bright pink, light pink, and white. We were showered with bubbles on our way out of the ceremony and later in the evening we had the sparkler send off. White lanterns were hung around the reception. Our dessert was mini pies…apple, berry, pumpkin, lemon meringue and key lime with vanilla ice cream. We didn’t cut the cake, but instead had forks to dive into the pie that say “i do” and “me too.” My bouquet had a charm with a picture of me and my grandma because she passed away in January.”

Ashlee and Scott of O’Malley Photographers live in Seattle, but love traveling all over the Northwest and beyond!
