It’s a rare occasion that I’ve actually met the bride or groom that we feature on Apple Brides, but that’s not the case for Amy and Martin’s engagement feature today! I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting Amy and I have to tell you two things about this girl….first, she’s one of the sweetest and nicest gals around and second, she is PASSIONATE about wedding planning (and Apple Brides!). She briefly told me about some of the plans for her September wedding and I was blown away with the thoughtful and meaningful details she was pouring into the day. Not only that, but she is using some of the top vendors in the Spokane/Coeur d’ Alene area, two of which are represented in today’s feature. Urban Rose Photo took the beautiful photos and Alisa from Alisa Lewis Event Design and The Attic did the styling and brought the props.
Amy put just as much thought into her engagement session as her wedding, choosing to honor her late Grandmother with the theme. Here’s what Rose had to say about this special session:
“This engagement session was themed around Amy’s late Grandmother’s wedding suit, and shot on the GU campus. She wanted to have some part of her grandmother in her photos, and thought what better way than to do a styled shoot! Amy and I teamed up with Alisa Lewis Event Design to style her vintage romantic picnic session, with props from The Attic | a Vintage Rental Company (Alisa is also the stylist and planner for Amy’s September 8th wedding). Her hair and make up were done at Wink Salon. (Hair done by Brigid O’Hara and Make up by Liz Alexandrovich).”
