You should know that this shoot was the catalyst for a life change…..or at least the beginning of a life change…..okay, seriously thinking about a life change. While struggling to move six chivari chairs and a 60 inch round table down to the beach (that is essentially the Lodge’s front yard) it came to my attention that I could benefit from a few hours in the gym. This was in mid September and I’ve nearly committed to the perfect Lulu Lemon “hot spell tank”. At this rate there is a good chance I will be (very fashionably) “elipticaling” by this time next year. It’s called DRIVE people!
You may recall that Apple Bride’s last shoot at The Lodge at Sandpoint was covered in about two feet of snow! My dear friend and bridal model Kaelyn may have suffered a very mild case of frostbite, but I think you will all agree those pristine snow covered beach shots were well worth it. (She’ speaking to me again so It couldn’t have been that bad!) Our summer shoot at the lodge doesn’t even look like the same place…it’s amazing how the seasons change the entire look and feel of the venue.
The talented Kayleen Huffman Photography spent a perfect sunny day shooting a lakeside tablescape scene with lots of goodies from A to Z rentals, florals by Angela of Floral Design and a dessert table scene filled with treats from Forty-One South. Our lovely model Paige looked every bit the classic beauty in the sweetest dress from Storybook Bridal, hair by Studio 600 and glowing summer skin thanks to Janell of Makeup by Macek. Take note of all the cute hair pieces and garters (Vintage Vanity hand makes all kinds of bridal accessories!)
There are three reasons The Lodge at Sandpoint makes for an ideal summer wedding locale. The lodge is right on Pend Oreille lake, you can say “I do” right on the lake and you can cut your cake right on the lake. Oh and did I mention your room from the lodge looks out over the lake?! Whether you picture your nuptials with sand between your toes, under a beautiful white pergola or from a deck three stories above the beach, the Lodge at Sandpoint is sure to make wedding fantasies a reality!
Take a peek at Kayleen’s pic’s and let us know why you’d like a lakeside wedding! (Also, email me directly if you are buff, lift from the knee’s and interested in a hands on experience moving large wedding related items.)
