The summer 2012 weddings are rolling into my inbox, and I am loving seeing all of them! This one comes to us from reader, Jenny, who married Jeff at the incredible Trezzi Farm on Green Bluff. Photographer, Amber Glanville Photography, did an amazing job of capturing all the personalized details Jenny and Jeff put into their day (read below). She also did a fabulous job of photographing all the beauty Trezzi Farm has to offer.
A little from bride Jenny…
“Jeff and I both come from Italian families and we really wanted that to be a part of our wedding. When I started looking for venues, I was immediately drawn to Trezzi Farm. Stephanie and Davide were welcoming, made us feel special, and went above and beyond helping us with the planning of the wedding. The venue gave off that Italian feel for which I was looking. It also reminded me of Vermont, which is where I went to school.
I have been to so many weddings, and what I wanted for mine was to add something extra and personal to the wedding. We used Jeff’s parent’s cake topper that they used at their wedding more than 30 years ago. I found an accordion player to greet our guests with Italian songs before the ceremony. I also had old, Italian songs playing throughout dinner. We had initially decided not give out favors, but Jaime Johnson helped me come up with something that I HAD to do—give out an Italian dinner which just happened to be my favorite meal– spaghetti with homemade marinara sauce from Trezzi Farm. Every couple received a favor bag with a mini spaghetti meal.
I also wanted the wedding to have that old time feel to it so we included cigars for everyone after dinner (which also reminded me of my grandfather). Instead of throwing my bouquet–while a song was playing, I walked around the room and gave my bouquet to the girl I wanted to get married next. Because I decided that nine bridesmaids were too many for my wedding (I just had my sister as matron of honor), I gave special necklaces to the girls that would have been my bridesmaids and honored them with special flowers to wear on the day of the wedding to set them apart from everyone.”
