Not only did the groom and Bethany keep their plan a secret until he popped the question, but she said yes! Here’s what the bride-to-be had to say about their proposal.
My fiance and I met on October 10th, 2009 at a venue during his band’s show. It’s funny because I would never normally go to that venue but a friend convinced me to go with her that night. I saw Him singing onstage and had never before felt such an instant attraction to someone. Later he told me that the first time he ever saw me, he leaned over to his friend and said, “see that girl? I’m going to marry her.” Since then, we have been inseparable.
The proposal experience was better than I could have ever imagined. Bethany actually told us that she was doing an engagement shoot and she needed a couple to shoot last-minute, so we agreed to do it. My sister had done my hair and makeup and My fiance and I were both dressed up, so it was a brilliant idea on his and Bethany’s part. We went to this beautiful trail in Spokane and Bethany took a few pictures and posed me. Everything was perfect that day–the lighting outside, the scenery, etc. At one point, He stopped me from posing and grabbed my hands. He told me that he had loved me ever since we met at that punk rock club, and then he got down one one knee and asked if I would do him a favor. When he asked me to marry him I was so shocked and surprised that all I could do was cover my face and cry. The ring was just incredible too. It was so much more perfect than anything I’ve ever thought of, and it means so much to me that my sister and our mutual friend Bethany and her husband were there to share it with me. I am absolutely in love with Bethany’s talent and I would love her to shoot our wedding.
