The Blackwell Hotel is an incredibly unique venue to our area. Not only does it boast old world charm and beautifully curated decor, but on top of being a venue, it is also an exquisite boutique hotel! For the couple with family coming in from out of town, or who would prefer not to be rushed to set up and take down on their wedding all in one day but would rather enjoy a whole weekend in the company of friends and family as the prepare for the big day, the Blackwell Hotel is a must see venue!

The Blackwell Hotel encompasses weddings that are intimate & elegant indoor weddings to larger & joyful weddings outdoors. Blackwell weddings are meant to be for the couples that want to experience their special day in an intimate, beautiful and timeless setting.
What makes your venue unique?
Here at the Blackwell Hotel, our unique and stunning accommodations set us apart from any other venue. Not only are bridal parties able to plan for their actual wedding event, but they have an opportunity to rent the entire hotel for up to 14 guests and have full access and use of the facilities. Many families rent the hotel for the bride/groom for the rehearsal, wedding and morning after brunch to savor this special time they have with one another. After all, the house was originally a wedding present from Fredrick Blackwell to his son Russell and his new bride Pauline Blackwell back in 1904.
What is the capacity of your venue?
Our indoor capacity with the dining room, sunroom, and entry living room can comfortably hold a sit down dinner or event for 50-75 guests. For outdoor events, we can have up to 175 guests. The large backyard is a wonderful canvas for all sorts of creative design!
What are your catering guidelines?
How lovely it is that we give clients the freedom to pick their own caterer to their liking? Our only guideline is the use of kitchen for staging, reheating or keeping food chilled. Food must be prepared in advance of the event.
Do you have a ceremony location?
The Blackwell Hotel uniquely has many location and special spots for ceremonies to take place. Most popular of all is the gazebo in the back during the summer months. There are beautiful locations on the front and back porch and in many areas of the garden. During the winter, or for smaller weddings indoors, there are two beautiful fireplace settings and a sunroom with big white pane doors that ceremonies are perfect in front of.
What is your advice for couples planning their wedding?
It sounds obvious, but being as detailed and well planned out in advance is the best advice because on your wedding, you should be solely focused on the person you are marrying. Knowing what you want gives vendors clear direction on what they need to do in order to make you happy. Also, don’t stress the small stuff. Let others take care of those details for you as their contribution to your special day. The most important thing couples should keep their eyes set on is their union in marriage!
What is included in your packages?
Exclusive Venue & Accommodations: Friday & Saturday $5900. Includes 7 rooms for overnight accommodations, space for your event, tables, chairs and linens for 100 guests.
Each additional night: $1700
*All weekends require a 2 night minimum. Holidays require a 3 night minimum.
Hourly Venue Rental: $525/hour plus tax (Friday & Saturday), $325 plus tax (Sunday -Thursday). Includes use of backyard, prep in kitchen and sunroom. Also, includes tables, chairs and linens for 100.
