Sometimes in the midst of wedding planning it’s easy to forget that the whole point of a wedding is to begin a marriage, which takes far more work than making a guest list and choosing a bouquet! This is Debby and Richard from Hayden. They have been married for 26 years and to celebrate their anniversary decided to have their daughter Jessica of JKB Photography snap some beautiful shots of the two of them. We love this shoot because it’s a good reminder to stay focused on what matters. Here’s what Jessica had to say about her parents:
“This anniversary shoot is one that will forever be one of my favorites– not only due to how young and adorable this couple is, but also because these two lovebirds are my parents. After 26 years of marriage and seven children, they still have the spark!
My dad and I structured this shoot around a series of love notes he wrote out beforehand. During specific times during the shoot, he’d pull one out. Each note was in response to a question, which my mother answered from her perspective before reading his response. It was so funny to watch answer the same questions the way, especially when I could see them both getting sheepish and giddy. As a photographer, being able to watch my parents reconnect (and get progressively more twitterpatted) was so unique and fun. So happy to have been able to capture these memories.”
Congrats to Debby and Richard!
