How to Style Your Bridesmaids by Soiree Event Design

The only real rule of bridesmaids is that there aren’t any rules! You can mix and match however you want, which is a breath of fresh air for the varying body shapes of bridesmaids everywhere. Today, Ali and Jessica of Soiree Event Design, with the help of Mica Sansaver and some other fabulous local vendors,  are showing us just how much fun it can be to style your lovely ladies.

A little from Soiree Event Design about the shoot:

“In this shoot we were trying to show brides how much fun you can have with the look of your bridesmaids alone. Bridesmaids don’t have to do anything traditional anymore. We created 5 fresh looks for brides to choose from or event mix and match together!

Whimsical: We wanted this bridesmaid to look the most classic, but with a little flair. A traditional, but simple bouquet to play off a more elaborate floral head piece. A flowy long dress and half-up loose curls keeps the look casual, romantic and beautiful.

Classy: This look was meant to be a cleaner play off of the traditional bridesmaid. A clean cut dress with simple pearls for jewelry keep the look nice and neat. Her paper flowers from aNeMone are perfectly in place with her well primped hairstyle. Opt for a clean, fresh look for make up and you’ll have the most prim and proper maid.

Glam: We opted for a dramatic navy dress to play off of a dramatic red lip and more 50s make up style. Why not have your girls carry a clutch down they aisle? This snakes skin and gold clutch adds a little pop to the outfit, as does her glittery head piece and bracelet by Stella’s Design. Both can double as bridesmaids gifts as well, that they can ACTUALLY keep and use again!

Retro: We love this look, it is so very simple and so fun! A fab A-line dress in a bold color will make the look easy to pull off and is flattering on every figure. We opted for a clean up-do with a little volume on top to help feel more retro. Baloons instead of flowers ad a fun touch. And this is a great look to go with any fun heels. Maybe let your maids choose their own and add their own retro flare?

Fresh: This look is all about having fun and being trendy. A big top-knot or even a messy one, makes your girls look effortlessly cute and put together. Make sure that you gift them some bold, chunky jewlery that pops. We chose some cobalt earring to play off of her aqua dress. Fun flats, especially those with a pattern, go great with this look. And we opted for a lantern instead of the traditional bouquet. These lanterns can be be set down during the processional to build up some decor for your grand entrance!”
