We’ve got a lovely summer wedding for your very chilly Tuesday afternoon. This is Chris and Aubrey’s wedding by Rogue Heart Media at the beautiful Barn on Wild Rose Prairie. DIY details, personal touches and gorgeous vistas abound in this event, but I think my favorite part is the adorable first look. What a cute idea!
Here’s what Aubrey had to say about the day:
“Chris and I were married at The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie on July 6th, 2013. I can honestly say that it was the best day of my life. I remember going back and forth between fits of laughing and crying, all out of pure joy and happiness.
We prioritized those things that were most important to us as a couple. Chris grew up on a dairy farm outside of Deer Park and three generations of his family still live there. He turned one of the old heifer barns into a beautiful venue where his sister got married the year before us. We wanted to plant a tree as part of our ceremony, and it also doubled as a lovely landscaping addition in the courtyard of the barn. My little sister was the officiant and a bridesmaid, which, I think, threw off some of our guests, but she knew me and Chris as a couple better than anyone else. She was able to make our ceremony incredibly personalized and special. Finally, I wanted to be comfortable, knowing that this would be an all day event, so Chris and I bought custom New Balance shoes in our wedding colors with the words, “Pair of Misfits” embroidered on the back.
I was very impressed with all our vendors, and I highly recommend all of them. John from J&J Catering created a wonderful menu for us, Design by Occasion ensured that our ceremony and reception went smoothly (including making sure that we received our food before everyone else), and Rogue Heart Media captured our day beautifully (I dare say, perfectly). I want to assure all brides, that no matter what happens on your wedding day it will be one of the best days of your life. Even the things that didn’t go according to what I planned didn’t matter because I was surrounded by the people I cared about the most, and I got to marry the best friend I’ve ever had.”
