A stay at the Marcus Whitman Hotel

As most of you know Apple Brides has recently expanded throughout WA so when I heard about the recent bridal show at the Marcus Whitman Hotel in Walla Walla I jumped at the chance to stay at this historical hotel.  Opened in 1928 the Marcus Whitman Hotel has hosted everyone from President Dwight D. Eisenhower to Shirley Temple.  Their next guest of honor….me!!!  (I kid I kid)

The first thing you’ll notice when just driving up to The Marcus Whitman is the sheer size and granduer of the hotel.  It tops the skyline of downtown Walla Walla like a brick skyscraper.  Then you walk inside the grand lobby and it’s like…whoa…exquisite wood paneling, massive cement planters, pillars and all the pomp and circumstance a girl could ask for.  (I ask for as much as possible!)

There are a number of reasons why The Marcus Whitman Hotel would make an ideal wedding venue but I’ll tell you my top three…

#1  It’s all about the options.  Whether you’re thinking about an elegant ballroom or casual outdoor I do’s the Marcus Whitman Hotel has got you covered.

#2  Food!  I’m talking modern American cuisine with a Pacific Northwest twist.  (Chef Antonio Copollio has even used his skills at the James Beard house…quite and honor and testament to his talent.)

#3  Location, location, location.  The Marcus Whitman hotel is in walking distance from fabulous restaurants, shops and a plethora of tasting rooms.  The best part?  You are minutes away from wineries and vineyards GALORE!  There are too many to count but here are some of my favorites Basel CellarsThree Rivers Winery, Foundry VineyardsCanoe Ridge Vineyard and L’Ecole No 41 Winery.
