A good love story makes a great wedding even better. Eric and Jessica’s wedding was not only stunning, but their story is one of how much adversity can sharpen and strengthen an individual and a relationship.
Jessica wrote a little about her and Eric’s journey:
“Eric and I met 4 years ago at work; we were both dating other people at the time. We got to know each other as work friends over the next few years through chatting in the break room and hanging out with the group from work. Eric even tried setting me up years ago with his friend, obviously it didn’t work out. In December of 2011 Eric got stuck cleaning up a catering event with me. Instead of helping he played me the piano. I found it rather cute and realized Eric was an attractive guy. The romantic side of this story all started on April Fools day 2012. We were supposed to hang out in a group, everyone canceled, and I tried to cancel too. Eric called my bluff and we went out and had a great time. As the saying goes, the rest is history. At the time we started dating I was worried because I was looking to move for work and was graduating college, Eric was also looking at relocating, and I couldn’t help but think maybe this wasn’t such a great idea.
But in June 2012 my brother was killed in Afghanistan and Eric was right there to hold my broken pieces together. His kind and gentle heart was evident as he sat endless hours with me. He supports me in all aspects of my life and is always there for me on my sad days and my happy days. As the wedding vows go, For better or for worse, Eric and I have been through the worst season of my life together and I am so hopeful and completely excited about the best seasons that are yet to come. The timing of us finding each other can be nothing short of a God-thing. He has been my biggest support, my biggest fan and I am so very lucky to have him by my side forever. I am one lucky wife-to-be.”
