Gritty Glam Inspiration by Melissa Kilner Photography

I’ve never come across a “gritty glam” theme before, but after seeing this gorgeous shoot by Melissa Kilner Photography and Batch Bakeshop, I have to say I am a huge fan! Inspired by a 1970s dinner party, these lovely ladies created a very unique shoot featuring one of our favorite downtown Spokane venues, The White Room.

Here’s what Melissa had to say about the shoot:

“I love contributing to styled shoots, so when my good friend Mika from Batch Bakeshop approached me a few months ago with a super fun concept, we ran with it! We talked about the idea of a group of friends getting together for an intimate “dinner party” wedding. We wanted it to feel sort of rock-n-roll vintage with some of the urban grittiness that you find in the city. We took inspiration from the 1940s, 1970s, and old abandoned buildings. We loved the idea of a 1970’s cocktail party, sitting on cushions on the floor, and then evolving to a full dinner party.”
