This morning we’re sharing a delightfully unique wedding session by Shmily Face Photography. Who says your wedding day can only be one day? We sure don’t. In fact, we’d be the first to support ‘day after, family reunion, wedding tour’ celebrations. Stephanie from Shmily Face Photographer shares how this sweet session came to be:
Kayla and Matthew actually got married in North Carolina, the day before our session! They hopped on a plane and had their honeymoon here in the Inland Northwest, in order to be with more of their family that couldn’t make it to their wedding. Also, instead of flying me out to capture their incredibly intimate ceremony down south, they opted to have a relaxed, “Day After” session up here, at the gorgeous venue A Touch of Country! After experiencing how calm and relaxed they were, and having a lot of time to spend with the couple (which rarely happens on the wedding day itself!) I can see how doing a Day After session would be beneficial to couples who would rather focus on connecting with their guests, but don’t want to sacrifice beautiful portraits that showcase the reason for the wedding in the first place.
