Today we partnered with Paperlust to talk about save the dates. Often overlooked, or forgotten, save the date cards can make or break your invite list! How? We’re sharing 3 things to consider when thinking about save the date cards, along with some gorgeous examples of just that from Paperlust, PLUS a special coupon code just for Apple Brides readers!
1.You’re having a destination wedding
If you’re getting married far from home, or have a lot of out of town guests, your crew will need extra time to make travel plans, so the courteous thing to do is send your save the date cards 6-8 months before your big day.
2. You actually WANT all those people to come to your wedding
Unless you overloaded your guest list (which is a big no no!) chances are, you really do want all those people to make it to your big celebration. So send save the dates! The earlier people can plan, the more likely they are to come.
3. You don’t need all the details, but you do need location
While the time of your ceremony and other fine details don’t need to be included (that all goes on the invitation!) the location should be included. Again, making travel plans takes time!
