When asked about their biggest wedding regret, so many brides wish they had hired a videographer! There is truly no better way to preserve one of the most significant days of your lives than with a video highlighting all of the best moments. One of our favorite things about having a wedding videographer is that you get to see a glimpse into every single moment of your big day, even if you didn’t catch it at the time. From the excitement of getting ready, to the touching toasts, and your guests dancing the night away, you can relive it all – over and over again. If you need still need convincing, Matt Green Films is sharing a glimpse into his craft and expertise.
What inspired you to become a videographer?
I loved making movies as a kid with my dadʼs VHS camcorder and I received my first photography camera at a young age. Telling a story with a picture or a video has always been something I really enjoy.
How long have you been doing videography?
Iʼve been doing wedding videography for 6 years. I have had experience prior to that working on independent films and as a photographer.
What is your videography style?
I try to take a natural approach to capturing a wedding and document the whole day as it unfolds. I find that every wedding has its own unique story. I do my best to find those little moments that will mean a lot to the bride and groom and that they may have missed.
Why do you think couples should get a videographer?
I think itʼs a priceless record of one of the biggest moments of your life. It may be that you donʼt realize just how important of an investment it is until 20 or 30 years down the road. To have an audio and visual record of your vows, or an amazing toast from a family member, or maybe something like your grandparents dancing is so wonderful to look back on.
What is your favorite part of a wedding?
I have always loved it when the groom sees the bride for the first time, whether at the first look or if they wait till the bride is walking down the aisle, it is always an emotional moment.
What should couples look for in a videographer?
Someone who fits their style and has experience. There are so many moments in a wedding that are unplanned and happen very quickly, being ready to capture those moments is something that comes through experience.
