More and more, couples are deciding that taking a long haul honeymoon right after their stressful (and expensive) wedding might not be a good idea. So instead, they are saving up and taking their big honeymoon later, and going on a “mini-moon” right after the wedding. A mini-moon is a short getaway within driving distance that will give you the rest and relaxation you need after your wedding, but also not break the bank!
Here are some great spots within 5 hours of the Spokane area for the perfect romantic weekend or mini-moon!
Stone Creek Manor
The best recommendation for Stone Creek Manor, located in Walla Walla, is the 66 “exceptional” ratings on Trip Advisor. The house was built in 1926 and has been beautifully restored by it’s current owners to pay tribute to it’s past and also offer modern luxury to its patrons. The perfect resting spot between winery tours!

Do you have any other mini-moon/weekend getaway suggestions?! We need all the help we can get!

I’m so excited to see the honeymoon section on Apple Brides! For my fiance and I, now that our wedding is essentially planned, we are stressed about what to do for a honeymoon and how to plan it.
One place that’s in this region we found is the Stephanie Inn on Cannon Beach, OR. It looks so romantic and we found it being highly recommended on a Seattle Wedding blog.

We recently visited the Mountain Home Lodge in Leavenworth for our 5-year anniversary and it would make an AMAZING local honeymoon, especially for winter brides (although I’m sure it’s beautiful in the summer time too!) Here is the website: http://www.mthome.com/
