Who doesn’t love a good Top 10 list? As we close out 2011, I thought it would be fun to go back through some of my posts from this year and choose some of my favorite items. So over the next two weeks I will be sporadically (i.e. whenever motivation comes) posting my “Top 10 Favorites…”
First up, wedding dresses. This was a hard one, mainly because I had a list of about 20 dresses that I absolutely adored, but I did my best to narrow them down. I tried to keep my personal style and preferences out of the equation, and choose gowns that are either are unique, fashion forward, versatile or styled well. I also tried to think about the whole bridal look (jewelry, veil, shoes, etc) and how it fits in with overall tone of the wedding.
In no particular order….
Count me in for ruffles. All shapes and all kinds, I love them. Especially when they are paired with a killer mermaid silhouette like the dress Stasha rocked in her Belle Victorian Gardens wedding by Flat 4 Photography.
A twist on a classic cut, Tessa’s gown is the perfect example of making something traditional, contemporary. I love the sash and layer details. So elegant and so modern!
If I were to get married at a courthouse I would have a dress EXACTLY like Jenny’s. It perfectly suits the occasion. It is formal enough to fit the importance of the event, but casual enough to keep the intimate wedding feel. Plus, it’s just plain adorable!

I just love the Grecian/empire waist (esque?) style of Meaghan’s dress. It’s so romantic and feminine and looks like it would be very comfortable, which always wins a billion points in my book. Also, her bird cage veil adds like a trillion points too.

The second I saw the below picture of Rachel’s dress I knew it was one of my favorites of the year. I love the slight train with the cascading folds of rich fabric..I could seriously just eat it up with a spoon! What made this bridal look even better was how well Rachel accessorized, gorgeous necklace and a stunning headpiece. Yummm…

The dress we found at Rianne’s Bridal for our Camden Ranch inspiration shoot is definitely a winner. It’s one of the most flattering cuts I’ve ever seen (I dare you to find a body type it wouldn’t work for!), it has a sweetheart neckline AND it has pockets.
So I kind of cheated on this one…Ivan and Luli’s wedding was actually posted in 2010, but Luli’s gown is so incredibly gorgeous I just had to put it on the list!

Ceclia’s wedding dress is the traditional bride’s dream. It’s simple, sophisticated and stylish. The gown is stunning, but the lace bolero and fingertip veil are my favorite parts!

Lindsey’s wedding dress is not only unique, but it was also the perfect choice for her and Nic’s fun beachy wedding at Priest Lake. I love the full texture of the frilly skirt and the tight bodice, just beautiful!
Sara’s wedding dress reminds me of something a 1940s Hollywood starlet would wear. From her vintage inspired veil and gorgeous hair to the gemstone details, this bridal look is all about the classic glamor.

Honorable Mentions (if it were a top 15 list, these gals would definitely be on it!):
And last but definitely not least…what kind of Kate Middleton fan would I be if I didn’t at LEAST mention… The Royal Wedding Dress!
