Styled engagement shoots are a great idea. We have some very talented vendors in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area, why not use them?! This styled engagement comes to us from Stephanie of Shmily Face Photography. Mika from Batch Bakeshop styled the session and you’ll see some other fab vendors too! Here’s what Stephanie had to say:
“To all those freshly engaged couples: I think stylized engagement sessions are incredible, and worth the time and investment that is put forth. Not only can you meticulously plan out the outfits, the props, the location, etc., but when vendors come together to put together an incredible shoot, you get gorgeous, thought out images. It’s definitely worth it!
The couple, Cameron and Jessica, have chosen to withhold even kissing until their wedding ceremony. But you could tell they really, really, really wanted to. They waited until June 22nd, where they had a very private, family-oriented wedding! Being able to shoot images that helped to exemplify the theme that they were going for, while teaching photographers about posing, lighting, and directing, was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.
The shoot was part of a collaborative effort for “f/22 Workshop,” an event aimed at newer photographers, to help them learn how to shoot in adverse conditions, how to pose clients, the value of shooting with other vendors in the community, and how to build a business that helps to amplify the value and hard work of our wedding industry.”
