If you’re looking for a charming rustic barn in the sprawling countryside, yet minutes from downtown, we’ve got the perfect place for you. The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie is exactly what romantic rustic wedding dreams are made of. And we’ve got all the details you need to know here!
Where are you located?
We are located on the Wild Rose Prairie, 20 minutes northeast of Spokane. Head out of town on Hwy 395, but then go west on Monroe Rd. We have a Deer Park address, but we’re closer to Suncrest.
What type of wedding does your venue work best for?
We work best for a bride looking for a rustic, farm landscape with modern amenities. We are predominantly an outdoor venue, but we have indoor space available. We have the basic event needs covered, and work well as the rustic backdrop for a bride that wants an intimate gathering, with minimal required decorating or renting of extra items.
What makes your venue unique?
Our staff takes pride in being available throughout your event to assist you with various tasks. We take care of setting up all our tables and chairs, and more importantly, we take care of the cleanup afterwards, leaving you with more time to spend with friends and family. We are also available to help with some planning aspects before your event. We also maintain a clean and natural landscape with a large lawn for yard games, and our new outdoor reception area (including bistro lighting, dance floor, catering area, and bar). We continuously update amenities with an eye for maintaining the original rustic charm of the Wild Rose Farms Dairy.
What is the capacity of the venue:
We adhere to the Spokane County ordinance of a 200 guest maximum.
What are your catering guidelines:
We have outdoor space for a caterer to set up, a large wagon banquet table for serving, and an outdoor bar, but we do not provide any catering services ourselves. You are welcome to self-cater or hire another vendor, but we have no kitchen or indoor food preparation areas.
Do you have a ceremony location:
Most brides choose to have the ceremony on the main lawn under our grape vine covered arbor with the fields and Mt. Spokane in the background. However, we are open to other ceremony site options.
What is your advice to couples planning their wedding:
We always advise couple to keep it simple. Simple décor, celebrating who you are as a couple. Simple guest lists, giving you the time to spend this special day with close friends and family. Simple food and drink options, focusing on activities rather than on sitting for a four course meal. We know that there are great expectations about how perfect this day should be, and we often see brides get lost in the details and stressed out over too many specifics. So, while we really do want you to make this day as perfect as you imagined, we always advise couples to not sweat the small stuff. Be present, and live in the moment. Don’t be afraid to delegate responsibilities to vendors and, of course, to keep it simple.
Our current price is a flat $3,300 for a 3 hour rehearsal and an 11 hour day (10am-9pm) for your event. This fee includes all of our amenities. We do have a $300 surcharge for events with over 150 guests.
