When you hire a wedding vendor, you hope they’re experienced in their profession, right? Photography by Luba has that in spades, with 12 years of work under her belt. Wondering what insight that kind of portfolio gives her? Lucky for you, she’s sharing it with us today!
What makes your photography unique?
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2003 and I’ve never lost a passion for my profession. If anything, I developed more love and style over the years. My wedding storybooks that are handcrafted in Italy are treasured by my customers as their family heirloom. I photograph to tell the story, I work with people in a way that they feel very comfortable being photographed and, most importantly, they have fun taking pictures! My customers rave about their photographer and that’s why I have been awarded “Couple’s Choice” and “Bride’s Choice” awards for 4 years now.
What is included in your packages? What is your price range?
Our packages start at $1500 and include a wedding album or a book, second photographer, engagement session, portraits and digital files.
How would you describe your style?
Being a wedding photographer I definitely photograph in a photojournalistic style. However, I believe a wedding deserves so much more then it. I add fashion style photography to it and believe that my job, as a photographer, is to help my subject to look their best.
What should brides and grooms look for in their photographer?
Look for experience. This is invaluable for you to know! You cannot repeat the day! So, you want to make sure that the photographer you are about to hire has photographed a wedding or two before they experiment with yours. Believe it or not, but many photographers DO NOT photograph weddings. They know that a wedding puts a lot of responsibility and pressure on a photographer, one has to be on their toes at all times, have good people skills and patience, as well as be well prepared. An experienced photographer will help you to visualize your day and plan things accordingly. Also, make sure to interview more than one photographer in person. Take the time, it will worth the investment. Consultations are normally free. I’d be happy to meet with you and go over your plans for your wedding day photography, answer all your questions and help you in any way whether you consider hiring Photography By Luba or not. I’ve been photographing weddings for over 12 years and I am just happy to be sharing my knowledge.
Any tips or advice for wedding planning?
Couples can save a lot of money on a wedding, if they plan it off season or at least not on a Saturday.
