Recently, we attended New York Bridal Fashion Week to check out all the amazing dresses and upcoming bridal trends for 2018 and we were completely blown away! 2018 brides, good luck dress shopping, because we could hardly pick a favorite trend! From off the shoulder gowns, to two piece mix and match separates, detachable trains that take you from WOW to subdued glamor, to dresses that could serve as your ‘something blue’ (one of our fav trends!) to stunning, modern dresses that make a show stopping statement, Bridal Market was filled with fun, gorgeous dresses. We’re recapping some of our favorite collections to watch for at a bridal salon near you!
One of our favorite collections, Berta was ULTRA glam! Not for the faint of heart, these ethereal, flows gowns were filled with sparkle and skin. We loved the incredible attention to detail and the unique accents, like feather cuffs, little bows or geometric sequined patterns.
The ultimate in romantic, real world gowns, Casablanca’s newest collection was filled with dramatic backs, jeweled accents, princess-y skirts and POCKETS! We loved how the collection was filled with accessible, comfortable glam that we could picture SO many different styles of brides in!

We’re in love! Maggie Sottero’s collection was sweet, romantic perfection. Tons of illusion details, dreamy beaded lace and fun, open backs (Are you noticing a trend?) filled the collection, and had us dreaming of garden weddings and sunshine-filled ceremony spots.
Galia Lahav was dreeeeamy! Tons of tulle and shoulder baring silhouettes have us wishing for warm weather already.

Sarah Jassir BLEW US AWAY! The architectural lines and dramatic skirts (detachable!) were truly show stoppers. The mermaid gown on the right was one of our absolute favorites of the entire week. We loved the trend of detachable trains that give you two looks for the price of one, to change things up (quickly!) post ceremony.
Would it be bad to say BHLDN can basically do no wrong? Always one of our favorites, this collection did not disappoint! It’s hard to pick a favorite– that waterfall jacket that would be AMAZING for a winter wedding? The dusty blue grey tulle with white details? The subtly striped ballgown that is just the right amount of sass? We love them all!

Inspired by prima ballerinas, Ivy & Aster’s newest collection was so romantic, and wearable even for those of us that can’t tell the difference between 1st position and 5th! The dramatic but simply chic cape, tulle bows at the neckline, and adorable wrap sweater (fall weddings, anyone?!) were some of our favorite picks.

Clean lines with unique detailing punctuated Sassi Holford’s newest collection! The super sleek a-line gown in such a classic cut in a gorgeous material, it hits our favorite list for sure. Perfect for the bride who wants to keep it traditional, or add all sorts of accessories to make it her own!
What are your favorite picks so far? Stay tuned for round 2 of our New York Bridal Fashion Week favorites coming next week!
