Photography is a very personal decision, and finding the right fit for you and your soon-to-be-spouse can be overwhelming and confusing! You want to be sure you love their work and style, but also that you get along with them and vibe well, even when the camera isn’t shooting. Kelly, of Creatively Yours Photography, wants to make sure of just that! Kelly isn’t just easy to get along with and fun, though. She’s also super talented, and wants to make sure your wedding photos are everything you want them to be. What’s not to love?!
What makes your photography unique?
I am a relational wedding photographer. At Creatively Yours I believe that the relationships at your wedding are the most important thing. I focus my efforts during your wedding on capturing them. I want to spend a good part of our time together just you and your soon to be spouse. I believe at the end of the day these are the most important photographs you’ll walk away with. These are the ones you’ll hold onto when you have a rough day (and I promise they unfortunately, will come). I want to create art for your walls, so you can look it and remember why and who you fell in love with. The wedding party and your families are another key element to your day. So, we’ll make sure we have amazing photos with them.
What is included in your packages?
All my packages come with at least 8 hours of wedding day coverage. Your wedding day tells a story and I want to be there to tell it, not just a snippet of it. All my packages also include a USB with your photos, an engagement session (images included), and a piece of art for your wall. Packages go up to include all day coverage, albums, second photographers, and additional coverage prior to the wedding.
What is your price range?
Packages start at $2995.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as light, airy, romantic (‘cause hello we’re capturing your relationship!), and personal.
What should brides and grooms look for in their photographer?
There are two things I always recommend you look for. First, look for someone you connect with. You’re going to spend all day with them, so find someone you enjoy being around. Second, find someone with experience. You may be tempted to go with a new photographer, because they’re cheap or a friend who offers to photograph your day for free, but remember that you don’t get a “do-over” for your wedding. When you choose a photographer with experience you will have someone at your side that has been there and done that and can help you navigate and maximize your day.
Any tips or advice for wedding planning?
Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the process, but don’t get lost in it. Life doesn’t begin and end with your wedding. Don’t get caught up in Pinterest! Think about your relationship – who are you as a couple and let your wedding reflect who you are and what is most important to you!
