You might think you know country weddings, but we’re willing to bet you’ll be impressed by The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie! More than just a pretty venue, they offer TONS of in house decor and offerings for brides, at a super reasonable price. We’re in love with their easy, fun, rustic vibes, but the historic background of the barn really makes it special. They’re sharing everything they include in their packages and why they love weddings with us today!
Tell us about The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie and your wedding packages!
At The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie, we believe that your wedding should be able to be customized to your style and taste, so we keep our venue simple and elegant with as much natural greenery as possible. The chiffon drapes and the bistro lighting you see are permanent fixtures in the barn and under the pavilion.
We want to keep pricing simple for our couples so we set a flat rental fee of $3,600 for Saturday weddings, with a $300 surcharge only if there are over 150 guests. This includes all taxes, fees, setup and cleanup, as well as tables, white table linens, and chairs for up to 200 guests. We do have a county mandated max capacity of 200 guests, and a 9:00 pm event curfew, so we book an 11 hour occupancy (10am-9pm) the day of the event, and also include a 3 hour rehearsal, usually the day before the event. We’d love to help you make your “fairy-tale” wedding ideas a reality in our romantic country setting!
Are your decor items available to brides? Tell us about your offerings.
Most of the decor you see in the photos are available for brides to use as part of the rental fee. We don’t charge extra for letting them use our decor. If it’s here, you may use it!
What makes the Barn on Wild Rose Prairie unique?
There are three aspects of our venue that we believe make us unique. First, we’ve never seen the same wedding twice, because we don’t dictate the details of the event. This allows our couples the freedom to bring their own style, taste, and vendors that they want for their special day. Second, while we are able to use the barn from the original “Wild Rose Dairy,” we are more than just a barn venue.
We have designed our landscaping to not only be sustainable in our region, but to also accent the natural beauty of the fields of the Wild Rose Prairie. Finally, The Barn is family owned and operated, and we are the 4th generation on the land that we still farm. Our family has been working this land for over 50 years, and we take great pride in the fact that we now use it to help couples begin their journey towards starting their own families.

What type of bride does your venue work for?
While the name “The Barn” might imply that we are exclusively for the “country bride,” we also find that our venue works just as well for those who want the outdoor “garden party” feel. We find that many of our couples really appreciate the fact that we have the basic amenities covered (tables, table linens, chairs , bathrooms, ect.), allowing them to prioritize their time based on those details that matter most to them. We’ve set up our venue to have a simple elegance that you can add your own touches to, while leaving enough creative space for the “DIY Bride.” We take great care of our gardens and landscaping to provide you with plenty of natural beauty in our rustic landscape.
