We love when couples incorporate their culture into their wedding day – especially when full of Bollywood glamour! We don’t often get to enjoy the extravagant style and incredible colors of Bollywood up here in the Northwest, so when we saw this feature we were head over heels. Our favorite aspect of this day is that they had two completely different themes for the ceremony and reception, why limit yourself to only one?!
From the Planner… “This bride and groom wanted to bring the glamour of Bollywood to Spokane. The color scheme was unique as it was red and gold for the ceremony and blue and silver and tons of sparkle for the reception, giving the feeling of two uniquely distinct events.
Held at the Davenport Hotel the all day wedding started with a traditional hindu wedding ceremony under a custom made mandap. After the ceremony, there was a luncheon and then the couple got ready for their bollywood style reception in the Grand Pennington ballroom. One of the most touching parts of the night is when the groom surprised the bride with a song. Guests were entertained by a cariacture artist, photobooth and a DJ that flew in from Portland that got everyone on the dance floor for bollywood style dancing.”
