After seeing Kris and Lindsey’s gorgeous engagement session (see that here), we had very high expectations for their wedding, and we were not disappointed! This couple pulled out all the stops to make their backyard wedding elegant and sophisticated, while still maintaing rustic charm. The wedding was held at Kris’ parent’s house at the foot of Canfield Mountain near Coeur d’Alene, with Ariel Nay from Designer With a Camera behind the camera. Here is what Ariel had to say: “Lindsey and Kris have a warm, natural and care-free spirt. Everyone I’ve seen in their presence can’t help but laugh along with their jokes and smile at their love and friendship for one another. You can’t ask for more beautiful and honest photographs than when a couple are completely open to being themselves. This is when the true ‘magic’ happens and where I find my passion in photographing people’s stories.”

From bride Lindsey:” I decided to not go with a wedding planner so I had the sheer joy and stresses of planning it on my own with the help of my mother and mother-in-law! Ariel Nay, Designer With A Camera, did an amazing job capturing our special day with her incredible eye and talent. My flower arrangement for the arbor and my bouquets were done by Hansen’s Floral and Gift in Coeur d’ Alene. Katrina was incredibly helpful and was able to put together exactly what I had envisioned! The other flowers came from either Safeway or Coeur d’ Alene’s Farmers Market downtown. My tables, benches, double doorway, love seat and chairs were all rented from Alisa with The Attic. Her wide variety of antiques and furniture went so perfect with my rustic vintage theme. She was a great pleasure to work with! We rented the metal framed tent, dance floor, dinnerware, and napkins from Lake City rental. They set up the tent on Thursday and took it down on Sunday, it was so great to have that time before hand to set up! My husband, father in law and I made the birch limb flower holders and I hand painted the signs from some old barn wood that came from the wedding site. We were married on the Chambers property alongside the base of Canfield Mt in beautiful Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. There was a black bear meandering the hillside as the ceremony took place. It was a day that I won’t ever forget!”
