Barrister Winery is great for groups wanting a unique, personalized wedding experience! We offer a versatile, stylish indoor space for both ceremonies and reception, and seasonally, a stunning urban garden courtyard for ceremonies, cocktail hours, or whatever else our groups dream up. We have partnered with one of the most experienced catering and events teams, Beacon Hill Catering & Events, to guarantee exceptional service and handcrafted catering. Oh, and did we mention our award-winning wines? Barrister Winery works best for couples with taste!
What makes your venue unique?
Experience and service. Barrister Winery is much, much more than just a beautiful, historic, brick and timber venue. Our wines are crafted with care, using quality Washington fruit. Our owner gives tours to many of our couples and offers a history of not only the venue but of how the winery came to be. Beacon Hill takes our couples through a thorough planning process and executes your wedding alongside the Barrister staff to keep your planning process and wedding day going smooth! So many in the Spokane community know us for our stunning building and (almost infamous!) rustic green door. But, after guests attend an event, the experience of working with our team and enjoying our gourmet food and wine, that’s what they are raving about.

What are your catering guidelines?
For almost a decade we have partnered with Beacon Hill Catering and Events to offer catering to our clients. Our weddings enjoy exceptional catering and personalized service from the Beacon Hill team. This partnership has also allowed us to provide things like linen, china service, coordination, and more to every Barrister Winery wedding at no additional cost. Beacon Hill can handle everything from hors d’oeuvres to beautiful dessert displays and invites all booked couples to a complimentary food tasting event prior to their wedding.

Yes! We have a couple of options for you. Our urban courtyard is available for ceremonies seasonally from May 1st – September 30th. We also have two options for stunning indoor ceremonies year-round.
What is your advice for couples planning their wedding?
We’ve been hosting weddings with Beacon Hill for a long time. After discussing with their team, we think the best advice we can give is to encourage couples to choose reputable, experienced vendors that they click with! In our visual-heavy world, so many brides and grooms get caught up with the look of their wedding and completely forget that this is a once in a lifetime experience for the two of them. We agree that weddings should be a beautiful, memorable occasion, but don’t forget to choose vendors who will create an experience with delicious food and drink as well as offer services that will make your day run smooth.

Quite a lot! Here’s a short list, but please reach out to info@beaconhillevents.com and they can send your our detailed packet of wedding information, as well as schedule a tour with one of their event managers or one of our team.
Included with a Barrister Winery wedding:
Dining tables, additional tables (like ones for gifts, guest book, etc…), cocktail tables, mahogany reception chairs, mahogany ceremony chairs, linen, simple centerpieces, and Reidel wine glasses. An easy rule of thumb is if we own it, we set it up for you, all before you get here so that the space is perfectly ready for you upon arrival. Our packages are most commonly 7.5 hours long and bartending service is included. Beacon Hill Catering and Events provides a day of coordinator who cues and keeps things on time the day of the wedding as well as manages a 1-hour rehearsal prior to the wedding. They also offer a top-notch service team and include things like linen napkins, real china plates, silverware, complimentary cake cutting, and more. We’ve found that many of our clients only hire a handful of vendors beyond our full-service offerings. This helps keeps stress and cost at a minimum.

We try to keep the wedding pricing reasonable, considering all the services that we include! Our wedding venue rental rates start at $2,500. We also have a $2,000 for a catering minimum for Beacon Hill’s full service catering and a 2 case wine minimum, which equates to about 100 glasses of wine.
