Real Weddings

If you live in Idaho, or keep tabs on the Idaho wedding community, you may remember the infamous Settler's Creek barn burned down last summer. It was a truly iconic part of the Coeur d'Alene landscape and we were all sad to see such a tragedy, especially during wedding season. So when this gorgeous submission came across our desks, we could hardly believe this was the first couple post-fire! Not only do they look totally footloose and fancy free, but their wedding is gorgeous, and you'd never know this epic venue suffered such a loss just days before. We loved this couple's spirit on their big day, and love the sense of renewal and next chapter that came with they day! From the photographer, "Many are aware that the beautiful red barn at Settler's Creek burned down last August. These two were the first couple affected by this terrible event, and it changed the way their day went, but it certainly didn’t change the way their day felt. This couple was super easy to work with, and they saw the many other beautiful locations at Settler's to make staying there easy. There was a lot of emotion surrounding the day, especially because of the huge turmoil that happened only 6 days before their wedding, but when the day went off without a hitch, it was awesome. They had beautiful details, amazing moments, and an incredible wedding!"
