We’ve featured surprise proposals on AB before, but I think this has to be the very first surprise proposal/wedding combo! Sarah wanted to not only propose to her boyfriend Blake, but also get hitched the same day. Way to get things done Sarah! To help Sarah pull off her proposal/wedding combo she relied on Robyn from Red Letter Event Planning and 2ee’s Photography. Here’s what Robyn had to say about the experience: “Sarah was the lucky winner of the Red Letter Event Planning proposal planning contest. However Sarah didn’t just want to propose to her boyfriend Blake, she also wanted to marry him, all in the same day.I immediately started planning with a little over 2 months to put it all together! The Riverstone amphitheater in Coeur d’Alene was chosen as the perfect outdoor proposal/wedding spot. For a whimsical touch balloons were central to the décor for both the ceremony and the wedding cake. The color palette was bold red, white and a touch of black.The day dawned gloomy but by 5:30 pm the wedding weather gods had smiled down and the sun was out!Sarah and her children proposed to Blake with boards held up by friends and family that spelled out Will you Marry Us while the Martina McBride/Train song Marry Me played in the background.After the touching proposal Blake changed into a suit and instantly became a dapper Groom to be. Sarah’s dad performed the intimate ceremony with Riverstone’s fountain and lake as the backdrop.After the ceremony the newlyweds and their nearest and dearest went to the MacKenzie River Pizza,Grill, and Pub for a family dinner which had a sweet wedding cake ending.”
