Traditional Irish Wedding In Coeur d’Alene

 October 26, 2018

Let’s face it, your wedding day is going to be epic no matter what. But when you’re able to incorporate cultural traditions that are close to your heart, it is all the more special. We love that this couple was able to highlight their Irish heritage, all with an incredible view of Lake Coeur d’Alene!

From the Photographer… It was important to the bride and groom to incorporate their Irish roots in their ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle with a melodic bagpipe slow march played by piper Rosalio Noriega. We learned where the popular term “tying the knot” came from. In ancient Irish tradition, Celtic handfasting symbolizes the binding together of two people. Their close friend and wedding officiant, bound the bride and groom together with a thin cord, and “tied the knot.”
